Each composer will take as their point of departure the following questions:
1- How do you situate yourself in relation both to tradition and to the present situation in opera?
2- What can you say about the experience of writing your first opera? (in terms of specifically musical aspects, and in terms of questions of production; positive and negative elements; difficulties; etc.)
3- In what way might your first experience have conditioned, and helped you to improve, subsequent writing for the voice? How do you see the future of new opera writing in Catalunya? What advice would you give for the improvement of the creative field?

10 -11.30 hours.:
THE CREATION OF NEW OPERAS: INSTITUTIONAL POLITICS. What philosophy has been applied to date on the part of the Catalan and Spanish administrations? What new models could be developed with a view to encouraging creativity more effectively? What financial means are already commited to this, and where are they invested? What new, specific measures need to be taken? Is it possible to create stable support structures for new operatic creation: festivals, networks, touring circuits…?

22 hours: performance: La Cupletista, dramaturgy by Pere Sagristà from the songs and life of the “cupletista” Càndida López. With soprano Núria Esquius and pianist Abraham Espinosa.
